In the main event, Chris Jericho defeated Kenny Omega, earning a match against Adam Page, the winner of the pre-show's Casino Battle Royale, at AEW's August event All Out to determine the inaugural AEW World Champion.

The comment was responded to by professional wrestlers Cody Rhodes and The Young Bucks (the tag team of Matt Jackson and Nick Jackson), who were then top stars signed to ROH and good friends both inside and outside of professional wrestling as part of the group Bullet Club (and later part of the sub-Bullet Club faction, The Elite).
Also announced in the episode was Double or Nothing, AEW's inaugural event and sequel to All In.
On January 8, 2019, the company held its inaugural press conference on the forecourt of the TIAA Bank Field, where they announced talents that were going to perform as part of the promotion, including former ROH wrestlers the team of SoCal Uncensored (Christopher Daniels, Scorpio Sky, and Frankie Kazarian), "Hangman" Adam Page; independent wrestlers Dr. Britt Baker, Joey Janela, and former WWE wrestlers Pac and Chris Jericho.
On November 9, AEW produced their third pay-per-view event, Full Gear.

During All Elite Wrestling's (AEW) inaugural event, Double or Nothing, All Out was scheduled as a spiritual sequel to the independently produced All In pay-per-view (PPV) and would be held during Labor Day weekend on August 31, 2019, the day before the first anniversary of All In, as well as in the same venue, the Sears Centre Arena in the Chicago suburb of Hoffman Estates, Illinois.
Jericho was then scheduled to defend the title against Cody at Full Gear due to Cody's singles match win/loss/draw record.

The event also saw signs of dissension between Omega and new Bullet Club member Cody.
After the match, Bullet Club member Adam Page confronted White but was stopped by Omega, who accepted defeat, which brought out Cody.
He competed at the promotion's inaugural event, Double or Nothing, where he lost to Chris Jericho in the main event, after which both men were attacked by Jon Moxley.
Omega instead competed against Pac at All Out, where he was defeated.
In the main event of Full Gear on November 9, Omega was defeated by Moxley in an unsanctioned Lights Out match.
