The Northern Busway is a segregated busway that runs along the eastern side of the Northern Motorway, part of State Highway 1, in the north of Auckland, New Zealand, linking the North Shore with the northern end of the Auckland Harbour Bridge.

The airport is located near Māngere, a residential suburb, and Airport Oaks, a service hub suburb 21 km south of the Auckland city centre.

The city is served by Auckland Airport, which handles around 2 million international passengers a month.

Its use is limited to Auckland Transport approved buses, emergency and maintenance vehicles, and the SkyBus North Harbour services that run between Albany and Auckland Airport.

SkyBus express buses operate between both terminals at the airport and central Auckland and North Harbour. The terminus for central Auckland services is the Britomart Transport Centre via Mount Eden Station or Dominion Road and Queen Street. The Westfield Albany mall is the terminus for North Harbour services via the Northern Busway with stops at the Akoranga and Smales Farm stations.

Britomart Transport Centre, also known as Britomart railway station, is the public transport hub in the central business district of Auckland, New Zealand, and the northern terminus of the North Island Main Trunk railway line.

It is the terminus for many bus routes, including the SkyBus services to and from Auckland Airport and the Northern Express NX1 route along the Northern Busway to and from Albany and the Hibiscus Coast.
