A report on Zabrze, Metropolis GZM, Drogowa Trasa Średnicowa and Chorzów

The west district of the Silesian Metropolis, a metropolis with a population of around 2 million.

Chorzów is one of the central cities of the Upper Silesian Metropolitan Union – a metropolis with a population of 2 million.

The DTŚ runs most of its course parallel to the A4 motorway but, unlike the A4, the DTŚ provides access to the congested centers of the Upper Silesian Metropolitan Union with 26 junctions (A4 has 6 junctions in the comparable section).

The DTŚ runs from Katowice through Chorzów and Świętochłowice, Ruda Śląska, Zabrze to Gliwice.

Drogowa Trasa Średnicowa, an inter-urban, limited-access expressway, connects Gliwice and Katowice city centers.

A road connecting Gliwice and Chorzów and a railway connecting Opole and Świętochłowice were led through Zabrze.

Original union included 14 city counties that form the core of the metropolitan region: (Bytom, Chorzów, Dąbrowa Górnicza, Gliwice, Jaworzno, Katowice, Mysłowice, Piekary Śląskie, Ruda Śląska, Siemianowice Śląskie, Sosnowiec, Świętochłowice, Tychy, and Zabrze.

The Drogowa Trasa Srednicowa leads through the town.
