Dear Prudence (advice column)

Dear Prudence is an advice column appearing several times weekly in the online magazine Slate and syndicated to over 200 newspapers.

Slate features regular and semi-regular columns such as Explainer, Moneybox, Spectator, Transport, and Dear Prudence.

On 9 February 2006, "Dear Prudence" was taken over by Slate staffer Emily Yoffe.

From 1998 to 2016 she was a regular contributor to Slate magazine, notably as Dear Prudence.

Slate's archive currently indicates that the author of those first columns was Herbert Stein.
