Duna has been the national main channel of the public media MTVA since 15 March 2015.

MTV is managed and primarily funded by the Media Service Support and Asset Management Fund (Médiaszolgáltatás-támogató és Vagyonkezelő Alap, abbreviated MTVA).

MTVA was established on 1 January 2011, and from July 2015 the company's main task has been to finance and operate Duna Média, Hungary's public-service broadcasting company.
