It was founded in 2015 as Organized Citizen Energy, or simply ECO, to compete against Horacio Rodriguez Larreta in the 2015 City of Buenos Aires elections.

On 5 July 2015, Larreta won 45% of the vote, forcing a runoff with the leader of center-left Evolution's, Martín Lousteau, who secured 28% of the vote.

He ran for mayor in 2015 backed by centre-left coalition called ECO (Energía Ciudadana Organizada), and was narrowly defeated by Horacio Rodríguez Larreta.

In 2017 Argentine mid-term elections, Lousteau ran heading the Evolución, which included the Radical Civic Union and the Socialist Party.
