New York University School of Law (NYU Law) is the law school of New York University, a private research university in New York City.

He currently is the Benjamin F. Butler Professor of Law at New York University, where he teaches at the law school and NYU's undergraduate colleges.

NYU's 15 graduate schools include the Grossman School of Medicine, School of Law, Wagner Graduate School of Public Service, School of Professional Studies, School of Social Work, and Rory Meyers School of Nursing.

From 1988 to 2002, he served as Dean of the NYU School of Law, during which time NYU became one of the top five law schools in the country according to U.S. News and World Report.

In 2003, President John Sexton launched a $2.5 billion campaign for funds to be spent especially on faculty and financial aid resources.
