The 13th Olympic Congress was held on 3–5 October 2009 in Copenhagen, Denmark, by the International Olympic Committee (IOC).

Olympic Games

Sessions colored in light blue were held during an Olympic Congress, while those colored in pink were held during the Olympic Games linked on the year.
At the 1921 Olympic Congress in Lausanne, it was decided to hold a winter version of the Olympic Games.

At the IOC Congress held the following year it was decided that the host nation of the 1924 Summer Olympics, France, would host a separate "International Winter Sports Week" under the patronage of the IOC.
