Pennsylvania State Senate

The State Senate meets in the State Capitol building in Harrisburg.

The capitol houses the legislative chambers for the Pennsylvania General Assembly, made up of the House of Representatives and the Senate, and the Harrisburg chambers for the Supreme and Superior Courts of Pennsylvania, as well as the offices of the Governor and the Lieutenant Governor.

The Pennsylvania State Senate is the upper house of the Pennsylvania General Assembly, the Pennsylvania state legislature.

The General Assembly has 253 members, consisting of a Senate with 50 members and a House of Representatives with 203 members, making it the second-largest state legislature in the nation (behind New Hampshire) and the largest full-time legislature.

Jacob Doyle Corman III (born September 9, 1964) is a Republican member of the Pennsylvania State Senate, where he serves as Majority Leader, who has represented the 34th Senatorial District since 1999.
