Reich Ministry of Armaments and War Production

In February 1942, Speer was appointed as Reich Minister of Armaments and War Production.

The Reich Ministry of Armaments and War Production (Reichsministerium für Rüstung und Kriegsproduktion) was established on March 17, 1940, in Nazi Germany.

Its task was to improve the supply of the Wehrmacht with the necessary supplies of weapons and ammunition.

During the war, it became subordinated to the Ministry of Armaments, and was given extensive coastal and inland transportation missions in occupied Europe, mainly in the service of Organisation Todt.

In order to reduce the effectiveness of Allied bombing, the Jägerstab, a task force of the Reich Ministry of Armaments and War Production for increasing fighter production, planned to move production underground.

Karl-Otto Saur (February 16, 1902 in Düsseldorf – July 28, 1966 in Pullach) was State Secretary in the Reich Ministry of Armaments and War Production in Germany during the Nazi era and de jure last defence minister of the Third Reich.

The task force was established by Albert Speer, the Minister of Armaments and War Production in the Hitler Cabinet, with support from Erhard Milch of the Reich Aviation Ministry.

Albert Speer, who was the Minister of Armaments for Germany, confirmed the authenticity of Picker's German edition in his Spandau diaries.

Due to the responsibility for logistics being passed from the Luftwaffe to the Reich Ministry of Armaments and War Production, by this point being directed by Albert Speer, the supply of materials to construct new stations proved extremly difficult, even as the demand for technical field equipment increased.

During World War II, after Antonescu was overthrown, Constantin Brătianu acted as Minister of Armaments and War Production in the military transitional governments of Constantin Sănătescu and Nicolae Rădescu from November 1944 until February 1945.

Albert Speer, the Reich Ministry of Armaments and War Production, was promoted to Befehlsleiter in 1942 and Oberbefehlsleiter in 1944.

By 1943, the Reich Ministry of Armaments and War Production determined that the diversion of workers to cleanup efforts was hurting armaments production.
