SRT Dark Red Line

The SRT Dark Red Line is part of the planned SRT Red Line suburban railway system to serve the greater Bangkok Metropolitan Region which includes Bangkok Province and 4 adjoining provinces.

The system will consist of two lines, one (also referred to as the SRT Dark Red Line) running from Thammasat University's Rangsit campus to Maha Chai in Samut Sakhon Province, and the other (SRT Light Red Line) running from Salaya in Nakhon Pathom Province to Hua Mak in Bangkok, with both passing through Bang Sue which will act as a connecting hub to the MRT system.

Pradiphat Station is a railway station on the SRT Dark Red Line and SRT Light Red Line in Thailand.

Sam Sen Station is a railway station on the SRT Dark Red Line and SRT Light Red Line in Thailand.

Ratchawithi Station will be a future railway station on the SRT Dark Red Line and SRT Light Red Line in Thailand.

However, more recently the SRT has stated that the new Intercity Terminal at Bang Sue will not open until January 2021 and this is likely to be the date for the line to start operations.

Don Mueang International Airport is served by the SRT Dark Red Line and Airport Rail Link at Don Mueang Station that connected with Bang Sue Central Station, it will open in 2021.

Bang Sue–Taling Chan Rail Electrification included in Contract 3 of SRT Dark Red Line Bang Sue - Rangsit which is under construction.

The line will also transfer with the SRT Dark Red Line which is under construction, the BTS Sukhumvit Line extension to Khu Khot (under construction), the planned BMA Grey Line in the future and interchange with the MRT Orange Line which is under construction.

It heads east along Ngam Wong Wan road to Khae Rai intersection and then Vihavadi-Rangsit road to interchange with the SRT Dark Red Line.

The Silom Line is planned to be extended by one or two stations west along Rama 1 from National Stadium (W1) to link with the SRT Dark Red Line at Yot Se station.

This would use the SRT Dark Red Line and main SRT north line corridor.

The line will also transfer with the SRT Dark Red Line which is under construction, the planned BTS Sukhumvit Line extension to Lam Lukka, and the BMA Proposed MRT Grey Line in the future.
