Originally debuting at the 2006 Tag World Grand Prix as a tag team consisting of Fire Ant and Soldier Ant, The Colony later grew to include a number of new members. After being trained by both Mike Quackenbush and Chris Hero, Fire Ant and Soldier Ant debuted as Team Colony at the 2006 Tag World Grand Prix, where they lost in the first round to Lancelot (Lance Steel and Lance Steel).

The Colony would go on to defeat the Fight Club in the opening round, their rivals the UnStable in the semi-finals and both The Osirian Portal and Martin Stone and Pac in the finals to win the tournament.
The finals was a three-way elimination match between the last three teams, The Osirian Portal, The Colony (Fire Ant and Soldier Ant) and Martin Stone and PAC.

Vin Gerard

Soon after their debut, Team Colony immediately became technicos on the undercard and often teamed with fellow masked wrestler Equinox in trios matches.
In 2008, Gerard gained significant success early on with several high-profile wins before beginning a heated feud with The Colony.

On February 20, the Colony lost to Team F.I.S.T. (Icarus, Gran Akuma and Chuck Taylor) after Worker Ant was pinned by Icarus.
Taylor once again teamed up with Icarus and Akuma in the 2008 King of Trios tournament, this time making it to the quarterfinal round before being knocked out by The Colony (Fire Ant, Worker Ant, and Soldier Ant).

Chikara's fifth annual Torneo Cibernetico was held on November 15, 2008 in Framingham, Massachusetts, and saw "Team Equinox" (Jimmy "Equinox" Olsen (captain), Mike Quackenbush, Tim Donst, Hydra, Helios, Fire Ant, Soldier Ant, and Worker Ant) taking on "Team Gerard" (Vin Gerard (captain), Lince Dorado, Stigma, Eddie Kingston, Amasis, Ophidian, UltraMantis Black, and Crossbones).

Mike Quackenbush

After being trained by both Mike Quackenbush and Chris Hero, Fire Ant and Soldier Ant debuted as Team Colony at the 2006 Tag World Grand Prix, where they lost in the first round to Lancelot (Lance Steel and Lance Steel).
On June 2 at Chikara's second internet pay-per-view, Chikarasaurus Rex: How to Hatch a Dinosaur, Quackenbush, Eddie Kingston, Jigsaw, Green Ant and Soldier Ant defeated Gekido in a ten man tag team match, after which Quackenbush grabbed 17's hand and broke his fingers, sidelining him for nine weeks.

On March 20, 2010, at Wit, Verve, and a Bit o' Nerve, The Colony lost the Campeonatos de Parejas to Ares and Claudio Castagnoli of the BDK after BDK members Pinkie Sanchez, Lince Dorado and Tursas attacked them before the match and Tursas powerbombed Soldier Ant against a wall, rendering him unconscious for most of the match.
After picking up the three points needed in order to challenge for the Campeonatos de Parejas in just one weekend, Castagnoli and Ares defeated The Colony (Fire Ant and Soldier Ant) on 20 March 2010, to win the championship, making Castagnoli the first two-time Campeon de Parejas in Chikara history.

On February 20, the Colony lost to Team F.I.S.T. (Icarus, Gran Akuma and Chuck Taylor) after Worker Ant was pinned by Icarus.
In March 2008 F.I.S.T. entered the 2008 King of Trios, where they defeated Sweet 'n' Sour Inc. (Bobby Dempsey, Sara Del Rey and Tank Toland) and Da Soul Touchaz (Acid Jaz, Marshe Rockett and Willie Richardson), advancing to the quarterfinals of the tournament, before losing to The Colony (Fire Ant, Soldier Ant and Worker Ant).

On November 22, 2009, at Three-Fisted Tales, Carpenter Ant became a rudo and unmasked to reveal himself as Pinkie Sanchez, while also joining the Bruderschaft des Kreuzes (BDK).
On November 22, 2009 at Chikara's Season eight finale titled Three Fisted Tales, following the conclusion of the main event between The Colony (Fire Ant and Soldier Ant) and The Osirian Portal (Amasis and Ophidian), the two masked men from months prior invaded the ring and one of them stated that a war was coming and that he was tired of waiting.

Johnny Gargano

After defeating the team of Flip Kendrick, Louis Lyndon and Johnny Gargano, The Colony handed BDK their first non-disqualification loss when they defeated the trio of Pinkie Sanchez, Tim Donst and Lince Dorado in the quarterfinals of the tournament.
However, once again Gargano failed to make it past the first round as his team suffered a loss in their opening round match against The Colony (Fire Ant, Green Ant and Soldier Ant).

On February 20, the Colony lost to Team F.I.S.T. (Icarus, Gran Akuma and Chuck Taylor) after Worker Ant was pinned by Icarus.
On July 25, 2009, Akuma appeared on Dragon Gate USA's first pay-per-view Enter the Dragon in an eight man tag team Chikara showcase match, where he, Icarus, Amasis and Hallowicked were defeated by Mike Quackenbush, Jigsaw, Fire Ant and Soldier Ant.

Stigma (wrestler)

Soon after the loss, Gerard successfully managed to manipulate technico Shane Storm into aligning with him, effectively renaming him STIGMA.
In the 2008 Tag World Grand Prix Stigma and Gerard made it to the semifinals, before losing to The Colony (Fire Ant and Soldier Ant).

Tim Donst

The real Green Ant made his wrestling debut on July 31, 2009, in a six-man tag team match, where The Colony defeated The Order of the Neo-Solar Temple (UltraMantis Black, Delirious and Crossbones).
With their newest recruit, the Order went on a winning streak, which included tag team victories over The Super Smash Bros. (Player Uno and Player Dos), The Roughnecks (Eddie Kingston and Grizzly Redwood) and The Colony (Carpenter Ant and Green Ant) and a trios victory over Mike Quackenbush, Claudio Castagnoli and Skayde.

On April 25 The Colony defeated Team Osaka Pro (Atsushi Kotoge, Daisuke Harada and Tadasuke) to make their way to the finals of the tournament, where they were defeated by the BDK trio of Ares, Castagnoli and Tursas, when referee Derek Sabato turned rudo, revealed himself as being aligned with BDK and performed a fast count to end the match.
On April 25, Team Osaka Pro was eliminated from the tournament in the semifinals by The Colony (Fire Ant, Green Ant and Soldier Ant).

On April 25 The Colony defeated Team Osaka Pro (Atsushi Kotoge, Daisuke Harada and Tadasuke) to make their way to the finals of the tournament, where they were defeated by the BDK trio of Ares, Castagnoli and Tursas, when referee Derek Sabato turned rudo, revealed himself as being aligned with BDK and performed a fast count to end the match.
On April 25, Team Osaka Pro was eliminated from the tournament in the semifinals by The Colony (Fire Ant, Green Ant and Soldier Ant).

Chikara High Noon

On November 13 at Chikara's first internet pay-per-view, High Noon, Fire Ant and Soldier Ant defeated The Young Bucks to once again earn the right to challenge for the Campeonatos de Parejas, while Green Ant ended his feud with Tursas by defeating him in a grudge match with a new submission maneuver, the Chikara Special: Green.
On April 21 the twelve participants were announced as Amasis, Brodie Lee, Claudio Castagnoli, Eddie Kingston, Fire Ant, Hallowicked, Icarus, Jigsaw, Mike Quackenbush, Sara Del Rey, UltraMantis Black and Vin Gerard.

Keita Yano

On August 29, Green Ant broke his arm during a match with Keita Yano and upon his return in February 2011, Chikara started a storyline similar to that used by the World Wrestling Federation with Lex Luger in 1993, where it was claimed that Green Ant had a metal plate inserted into his arm, which resulted in strikes from that elbow being more powerful due to the plate.
The following day, Yano defeated Green Ant in a non-tournament match.

The real Green Ant made his wrestling debut on July 31, 2009, in a six-man tag team match, where The Colony defeated The Order of the Neo-Solar Temple (UltraMantis Black, Delirious and Crossbones).
Delirious and UltraMantis Black used their three points to get a match for the Campeonatos de Parejas on February 28, 2010, at A World of Comforting Illusions, but were defeated by the defending champions The Colony (Fire Ant and Soldier Ant), after Ares came out and used the Eye of Tyr to release Delirious from under the influence of UltraMantis, at which point he went crazy and ran out of the arena.

On November 13 at Chikara's first internet pay-per-view, High Noon, Fire Ant and Soldier Ant defeated The Young Bucks to once again earn the right to challenge for the Campeonatos de Parejas, while Green Ant ended his feud with Tursas by defeating him in a grudge match with a new submission maneuver, the Chikara Special: Green.
Matt scored the first elimination of the match, eliminating Green Ant, but the brothers wound up being the fifth and sixth wrestlers eliminated from the match at the hands of Quackenbush and Player Dos.

Aniversario: Never Compromise

When Chikara went inactive following June 2013's Aniversario: Never Compromise, The Colony came together with other Chikara wrestlers to battle a united group of rudos from the promotion's past, including both Gekido and The Colony: Xtreme Force, who were trying to permanently kill off Chikara.
This led to him removing Soldier Ant from Chikara's top tecnico stable The Colony and inserting tecnico Sugar Dunkerton into rudo stable F.I.S.T. Vavasseur and his system were regularly criticized by Chikara employees, most notably The Colony member Green Ant, Sugar Dunkerton, and former referee Derek Sabato.
