Reyes was a part of a wrestling family that includes his brothers Carmelo (who wrestles as Cien Caras) and Jesús (Máscara Año 2000) as well as his nephew that wrestles under the name Máscara Año 2000 Jr. Together with his brothers he formed a group called Los Hermanos Dinamita, also known as Los Capos when they teamed up with Apolo Dantés.
Throughout his career Reyes has often teamed with his two brothers Carmelo, who wrestles as Cien Caras and the late Andrés, who wrestled as Universo 2000, the three were collectively known as Los Hermanos Diniamita ("The Dynamite Brothers") or Los Capos ("The Bosses") when they teamed with Apolo Dantés.

Los Capos (Spanish for "The Bosses") was a Lucha Libre stable consisting of Cien Caras, Máscara Año 2000 (often written as "Dos Mil") and Universo 2000, and at one point also included Apolo Dantés.

On August 11, 1991, Los Hermanos Dinamita won the Mexican National Trios Championship when they defeated Los Movie Stars (Atlantis, Máscara Sagrada and Octagón) to win the title. On March 21, 2003, the makeshift team of Universo 2000, Black Tiger III and Dr. Wagner Jr. defeated La Ola Lagunero ("The Lagoon Wave"; Atlantis Black Warrior and Mr. Niebla) to win the CMLL World Trios Championship On April 18, Universo 2000's second run with the CMLL World Heavyweight Championship came to an end when Mr. Niebla defeated him to win the heavyweight title.
The trio held the title for 94 days before losing it to Los Hermanos Dinamita (Cien Caras, Máscara Año 2000 and Universo 2000) on August 11, 1991.

Instead of holding a traditional tournament to crown another champion, CMLL had the new champion decided in a triple threat match between the top three heavyweight contenders, Universo 2000, Rayo de Jalisco Jr., and Cien Caras.

The team was allowed to remain champions only until August 11, 1991, where Los Capos (the team of Cien Caras, Mascara Año 2000 and Universo 2000) took over from them.

The then-reigning champions Cien Caras, Máscara Año 2000, and Universo 2000 left CMLL to join AAA and brought the Mexican National Trios Championship with them as it was not a CMLL owned title.

In AAA he defeated Universo 2000 to become the first AAA based Mexican National Light Heavyweight Champion after Universo 2000 had brought the title with him when he jumped to AAA.

The two trios met in a match at Triplemanía II-A on April 24, 1994, where Los Payasos won the Trios title from Los Hermanos Dinamita.
On the under-card the team known as Los Payasos (Spanish for "The Clowns"; Coco Rojo, Coco Verde and Coco Amarillo) defeated Los Hermanos Dinamita (Cien Caras, Máscara Año 2000 and Universo 2000) to win the Mexican National Trios Championship.

One of Universo 2000's last matches in AAA took place at Triplemanía III-C where Los Hermanos Dinamita teamed up with Jerry Estrada and Fishman to defeat Konnan, La Parka, Máscara Sagrada, Latin Lover and Perro Aguayo.
He was successful in taking the hair of Cien Caras and Máscara Año 2000 but he lost his slated retirement match against Universo 2000.

A few weeks later, at Triplemanía II-C Los Hermanos Dinamita gained a measure of revenge when they defeated Los Payasos in a Steel Cage Match.
Portraying the archetypes of "good" and "evil' AAA had created a storyine where the "hero" Konnan sought revenge against the "villain" Jake "The Snake" Roberts. The two faced off in a Lucha de Apuestas, or bet match, which is considered the ultimate "feud settler" in Lucha Libre. For the match both competitors bet their hair on the outcome of the match, with the loser being subjected to the humiliation of being shaved bald in the center of the ring. The show also featured a steel cage match between Los Hermanos Dinamita (Spanish for "The Dynamite Brothers"; Cien Caras, Máscara Año 2000 and Universo 2000) fighting Los Payasos ("The Clowns"; Coco Rojo, Coco Verde and Coco Amarillo) in a rematch from Triplemanía II-A where Los Payasos won the Mexican National Trios Championship from Los Hermanos Dinamita.

Universo 2000 was originally chosen to be the wrestler to unmask the legendary Aníbal, who had returned for the big payday a mask loss is.
The original plan was for Aníbal to lose his mask to Universo 2000, a wrestler CMLL was building up to be a main eventer, in the featured match of the 1991 Juicio Final ("Final Justice").

Over the next couple of years Universo 2000 defended his title against Dos Caras, Jr. twice, Mr. Niebla and Máscara Sagrada.
Caras received two opportunities to challenge Universo 2000 for the CMLL World Heavyweight title but came up short until his third attempt on July 8, 2007 when he became the CMLL World Heavyweight Champion.

After being masked since his debut in 1985 Universo 2000 lost a Lucha de Apuesta match to El Canek, the main event of CMLL's 71st Anniversary Show in a match that also included Dr. Wagner, Jr. and Rayo de Jalisco, Jr. Following his unmasking Universo 2000 won the 2004 Leyenda de Azul (Blue legend tournament).
The competitors were Rayo de Jalisco Jr., Dr. Wagner Jr., Universo 2000 and Canek.

Mr. Niebla

He also became the champion with most successful title defenses in one reign as he defended the title 19 times against Mascara Sagrada, Brazo de Plata, Rayo de Jalisco Jr. 8 times, Villano IV, Lizmark, Jr., Mr. Niebla and Violencia.
On January 23, 1998 Mr. Niebla teamed up with Shocker to win the CMLL World Tag Team Championship from Dr. Wagner Jr. and Emilio Charles Jr. Subsequently, Niebla and Shocker would defend the tag team championship against Blue Panther and Black Warrior, Bestia Salvaje and Scorpio Jr. and the Hermanas Dinamita (Cien Caras and Universo 2000).

On March 30, 2001, in the main event of CMLL's Juicio Final, Universo 2000 faced Aguayo in a Lucha de Apuesta match where Aguayo risked his hair and Universo 2000 risked his mask.
The match saw Perro Aguayo put his hair on the line and Universo 2000 "bet" his mask on the outcome of the match.

at CMLL's 72nd Anniversary Show Universo 2000 pinned Furia member Héctor Garza in a Lucha de Apuesta match that also included Perro Aguayo, Jr. On December 2, 2005, at the 2005 Juicio Final defeated Halloween in a Lucha de Apuesta match after applying the Black Hammer (Piledriver) to Halloween.
The show consisted of six matches, with the main event being a Lucha de Apuestas, hair vs. hair vs. hair match between Héctor Garza, Perro Aguayo Jr. and Universo 2000.

The team defeated Corleone and Suzuki in the main event of the 2006 Sin Piedad, taking the hair of both wrestlers in the process.
The main event was tag team Lucha de Apuestas, hair vs. hair match with the team of Kenzo Suzuki and Marco Corleone going up against Universo 2000 and Shocker.

The main event of the show was a Lucha de Apuesta, hair vs. hair match between Universo 2000 and Halloween that saw Halloween lose and have all his hair shaved off after the match.
